<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an ink jet recording material with both ink absorbing properties corresponding to high-speed recording and the resistance to a blur due to the temperature and humidity after printing, in addition to an image quality of high glossiness and high density, in regard to the ink jet recording material suitable for output of a photographic image. <P>SOLUTION: In the ink jet recording material having a substrate and at least two coating layers each containing an inorganic pigment and a water-soluble binder and provided on the substrate, a first coating layer close to the substrate out of the above coating layers contains wet-process silica, while a second coating layer apart from the substrate contains vapor-phase-process silica. The coating layers are so constituted that the number of parts of the binder to 100 pts.mass of the inorganic pigment is 20 pts.mass or less in both of the first and second coating layers and that the number of parts in the first coating layer is smaller than that in the second coating layer. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI |
