<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an automatic apparatus which, in recycling treatment of a disposable lighter, can prevent danger of ignition of residual gas and can realize crushing, classification, and recovery of residual gas in a safe and reliable manner. <P>SOLUTION: In this apparatus, the operation of a series of steps of recycling in water can prevent ignition during crushing and can also facilitate the recovery of gas. In the introduction of waste lighters into a crusher, even when a large quantity of waste lighters are present in a hopper, the quantity of the lighters introduced are regulated to a given level by varying the width of a slide-type introducing unit. After crushing, the residual gas is released in water, is vaporized in a gas reservoir space on the upper part of the water surface, and is sucked by a fan, and is burned and decomposed by pilot flame. Crushed plastics are floated on the upper part of the water surface by the specific gravity and are recovered by a plastic recovery box. Metals settle down, are attracted by a magnetic transfer belt conveyor provided on the bottom part, and are collected and recovered by a rotational movement of the conveyor in a metal recovery part provided outside the crusher. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI |
