<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a highly safe in vivo tissue closure device with which an opening of wound formed in an in vivo tissue membrane can be easily and securely closed and complete hemostasis is performed. <P>SOLUTION: The in vivo tissue closure device 1 is provided with a main body part of long shape, a clip 4 for closing an opening of wound passing through the in vivo tissue membrane, and a guide wire 11. The main body part is provided with: a sheath 5; a closure 13 constituted of a closure main body 131 of long shape and a movable hub 132; and a stopper 12. The clip 4 is constituted of: a seal part 41 for covering the opening of wound and the peripheral part of the opening of the wound from one surface side of the in vivo tissue membrane; and an elastically deformable arm 45 for fixing the seal part 41 by clamping the in vivo tissue membrane with the seal part 41 from the other surface side.
