<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a lighting system capable of efficiently blocking leakage of microwave for lighting an electrodeless discharge lamp serving as a light source, with a high utilization rate, easy to manufacture, yet capable of securing excellent reliability and durability. <P>SOLUTION: On the lighting system, a first lens array 3 arranged at light-emitting side of the electrodeless discharge lamp 2, an electromagnetic wave shielding means 6 made of metal or a material containing metal, having a plurality of openings 6a, and a second lens array 4 are successively arranged. The electromagnetic wave shielding means 6 transmits the illumination light passing through the first lens array 3 at the respective openings 6a, and constructed so as to locate at the position making the illumination light incident on respective convex lenses 4a of the second lens array 4. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI</p> |
