PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide novel and enhanced portable terminal equipment with which another person can be prevented from privately using the portable terminal equipment if it is lost or stolen. SOLUTION: The portable terminal device 100 of which the use is permitted if a subscriber IC card 200 storing personal information of a subscriber is loaded, comprises an identification means 110 for recognizing the personal information by connecting the subscriber IC card thereto, and a storage means 130 for storing the personal information recognized by this identification means. After personal identification information which is one of personal information is registered in the storage means, the subscriber card is loaded and after it is confirmed that the personal identification information is included in personal information stored on the subscriber card, the portable terminal device becomes available.
