PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optimal solution retrieving method and device for reducing dependency on a design parameter, and for quickly and precisely searching retrieval solutions. SOLUTION: This optimal solution retrieving method using a genetic algorithm comprises a process to prepare a plurality of individual groups constituted of a plurality of individuals, a process to design different genetic parameters in the prepared plurality of individual groups, a process to perform genetic operations to the individuals in each group according to the designated genetic parameters, a process to search the adaptability of each individual group, a process to compare the adaptabilities of individual groups with each other and a process to change the genetic parameters of each individual group according to the comparison result.
