PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To apply loop merging according to user's intention to speed up program execution, in a compiler performing the loop merging directed to a plurality of loops. SOLUTION: The loop that is the target of the loop merging and a nest level are designated by a directive (401) inside a program. Directive information is registered in a loop table (210) by loop merging directive analysis (102), and conversion is performed according to registration information in the loop merging (103).
