PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent a developing apparatus from falling when an earthquake hits or the apparatus is moved on a floor even when the outline of the apparatus is narrow compared to its depth or height. SOLUTION: The floor frame 2a constitutes the housing of the developing apparatus which houses a developing unit to develop a photosensitive material, a drying unit to dry the photosensitive material, a carrying mechanism to carry the photosensitive material from the developing unit to the drying unit, and a controlling unit. The frame 2a is provided with a caster 6 to move the developing apparatus, a jack 5 with a pad to lift the caster from the floor and to fix the developing apparatus to the floor, and a stabilizer 4 having a projection object 40 protruding outward from the lower part of the housing over the side wall so as to prevent falling on the side of the apparatus.
