PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method of coping with environment harming factors remaining in a treated effluent after electrolytic oxidation treatment of a photographic effluent, and to provide a method for utilizing the treated effluent. SOLUTION: In the method for utilizing a photographic effluent, the photographic effluent is subjected to electrolytic oxidation treatment using a conductive diamond electrode as an anode and the treated photographic effluent is used as an aqueous sulfuric acid solution.
