PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a projector device enabling a user to recognize a picture to be projected and displayed on a screen in advance. SOLUTION: By providing a liquid crystal monitor 8 for separately displaying the picture for display in addition to a liquid crystal panel 6 for projecting and displaying the prescribed picture for display on a screen 30, the user recognizes the content of the picture for display even when projection display of the picture for display through the liquid crystal panel 6 is not performed. Thus, preparation for presentation is efficiently performed, because the user can confirm the content of the picture for display without waiting for the projection display, for example, even in a period from turning on a power source until heating up a light source lamp unit 5.
