PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electrophotographic photoreceptor has an insert body for suppressing the generation of vibration at the time of use on the inner peripheral surface of a cylindrical support and is free of the deformation and contamination generated when the insert body is inserted to the inner peripheral surface side of the cylindrical support and is fixed, a method for manufacturing the electrophotographic photoreceptor, a process cartridge having such electrophotographic photoreceptor, and an electrophotographic apparatus. SOLUTION: The electrophotographic photoreceptor having an intermediate layer and a photosensitive layer in this order on the outer peripheral surface side of the cylindrical support and having the insert body on the inner peripheral surface side of the cylindrical support has an insert fixing layer for fixing the insert body between the cylindrical support and the insert to the inner peripheral surface side of the cylindrical support and the material used for the insert fixing layer is of the same material as the material used for the intermediate layer.
