PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a noise rejection circuit which is free from malfunction caused by mistaking a pulsating sound signal for impulsive noise. SOLUTION: The noise rejection circuit is provided with a noise detection means 16 for detecting a noise component from a signal in an IF amplification/detection stage 11 and a noise/sound determination means 22 for determining which of received impulsive noise and a received pulsating sound signal the detected noise component is caused by, and a signal processing stage 13 execute noise rejection processing when determining that the detected noise component is caused by the impulsive noise and omits noise rejection processing when determining that the detected noise component is caused by the pulsating sound signal.
