PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a hole size discriminating system capable of speedily and precisely discriminating the sizes of holes in an object where a hole is formed. SOLUTION: The hole size discriminating system includes at least two optical sensors which are provided with a predetermined distance apart from each other, and project light, whose reflection light quantity or transmission light quantity of varies, around the hole of the object. It also includes a positioning device for relatively positioning the object to the optical sensors so that the hole of the object comes to a predetermined relative position to the optical sensors, and a light quantity comparison means which compares the reflection light quantity or transmission light quantity of the projected light for each optical sensor as a parameter, with a predetermined value. When the reflection light quantity is larger than the predetermined value or the transmission light quantity is smaller than the predetermined value, the hole size is judged to be smaller than the predetermined value. When the reflection light quantity is smaller than the predetermined value or the transmission light quantity is larger than the predetermined value, the hole size is judged to be larger than the predetermined value.
