PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for forming a metallic complex material with which the flatness of a necessary surface (complex surface) combined with a porousness preformed body can be improved. SOLUTION: In the method for forming a metallic complex material 3, a parting material composed of a scaly composition is coated on the surface 5 to be formed of a porous preformed body 1. After forming a scaly coated layer 6 by heating this porous preformed body 1, the surface 5 to be formed is brought into contact with a forming metallic mold 22 for forming the necessary surface (or a complex surface 4) to be combined with the porous preformed body 1, and molten light metal 2a is supplied under pressurization. In this way, the necessary surface (or the complex surface 4) having almost flat casting surface can be formed and also the formation of a gap in the inner part can be prevented, and the metal complex material 3 which can sufficiently display the excellent characteristics possessed by the light alloy and the porous preformed body can be formed.
