The seal (8) between the socket (4) for the end of the pipe (2) and the outside of this pipe comprises an annular body (9) extending around the pipe and containing an outer cavity (10) for a first sealing ring (11) in contact with the inside of the socket and an inner cavity (12) for a second sealing ring (12) in contact with the outside of the pipe. The inner and outer cavities are formed by grooves. A clamping body (16) is pressed against the outer mantle of the pipe and cooperates with a clamping sleeve (19) which is connected to the connector body (3) and acts as a counter-bearing.
