PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To completely stop an electric actuator even when a CPU for calculating the operating amount of the electric actuator breaks down. SOLUTION: A relay circuit 306 driven by a relay drive circuit 307 is provided in the power supply passage of a motor drive circuit 305 for driving a DC servomotor 121. To an AND circuit 321 for controlling the motor drive control 307, the port output of a CPU 302 for controlling a motor drive circuit 305 is inputted, and a signal inputted from a CPU114a for controlling the motor drive circuit 305 is also inputted. When the CPU114a diagnoses failure in the CPU302 and/or when a predetermined signal is outputted from the output port of the CPU302, a relay circuit 306 is turned off. COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI
