PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a thermoelectric conversion material which is stable and is nonpoisonous in air having superior thermoelectric conversion properties. SOLUTION: On an MgO substrate or an SrTiO<SB>3</SB>substrate, an oxide thermoelectric conversion film is formed which has a composition of RE<SB>2-X</SB>M<SB>X</SB>Cu<SB>1</SB>O<SB>4-Y</SB>(RE is at least one rare-earth element selected from among La, Pr, Nd, Sm, Eu, and Gd; M is at least one element selected from among Ce, Ba, Sr, and Ca, 0<X<2, 0≤Y<4) or a composition of RE<SB>2</SB>Cu<SB>1-X</SB>Z<SB>X</SB>O<SB>4-Y</SB>(RE is at least one rare-earth element selected from among La, Pr, Nd, Sm, Eu, and Gd; Z is at least one transition element selected from among Ni and Zn, 0<X<1, 0≤Y<4).
