PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To precisely identify information of a component concentration or the like of ununiform scatterer containing a nonscatterer, in a short analytical time. SOLUTION: This component information identifying device 10 for identifying the information of a component contained in the ununiform scatterer, using a light pulse response is provided with a setting part 11 for setting the ununiform scatterer while classified into either of a scatterer portion or a nonscatterer portion, a discretization part 12 for setting a plurality of cells to the scatterer portion, an analytical result drawing-out part 13 for substituting a differential component of a light diffusion equation as a difference component, and for drawing out an analytical result of light propagation in the each cell, an equivalent wave source incorporating part 14 for incorporating light propagated in the nonscatterer portion, as an equivalent wave source of the light diffusion equation, regarding the light propagation in the nonscatterer portion as free space propagation and regarding a light intensity space unchangeable, a theoretical value drawing-out part 15 for drawing out a theoretical value of the light pulse, based on the analytical result of the light propagation, and an optical absorption coefficient identifying part 16 for identifying an optical absorption coefficient, based on the theoretical value and a measured value of the light pulse response.
