PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a rain gage with enhanced rainfall measurement accuracy. SOLUTION: This rain gage is equipped with a reversing measure for repeating reversal when a prescribed amount of rainwater is collected, optical fiber for transmission connected to the exterior, a light bend sensor provided on a half-way region of the optical fiber for transmission and increasing its optical transmission loss when it is bent, and a bend giving part for curving the bend sensor by receiving reversing force of the reversing measure in the middle of the reversal of the reversing measure.
