PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an auxiliary component mounting structure of an internal combustion engine, in which the internal combustion engine can be greatly reduced in weight, and an auxiliary component can be securely fastened to a stationary part, or sealing performance between sealing parts can be prevented from lowering. SOLUTION: In the auxiliary component mounting structure of the internal combustion engine 1, the auxiliary component 10 is fastened to the internal combustion engine 1 with a bolt 20 for the auxiliary component fastening. A crankcase 5 is made of material (magnesium alloy) inferior to material (aluminum alloy) comprising a cylinder block 4 and a lower case 6 in the material properties (rigidity, strength, waterproof corrosivity but specific gravity). The bolt 20 for auxiliary component fastening fastens the auxiliary component 10 straddling the cylinder block 4 and the lower case 6. COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI
