PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a decorating construction method capable of making inconspicuous a joint part and securing excellent waterproofness on a wall surface to which waterproof treatment is applied by using a dry joint material. SOLUTION: (1) The dry joint material is fitted to joint parts between adjacent dry boards so that the end faces of the dry boards can be exposed to the outside and (2) a putty material having the maximum tensile stress of 50 to 500 N/cm<SP>2</SP>, the elongation at the time of breakage of 100 to 600%, and the solid content of 90 wt% or more is filled in the joint parts, and (3) a finish coating material is applied thereto.
