PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a heat retaining cover of a compact type for a meter unit easy in installation work, and capable of exhibiting a superior heat retaining effect. SOLUTION: This heat retaining cover for the meter unit is constituted by incorporating a covering body 20 and a cap member 23 by fitting a fitting part 33 formed in the cap member 23 to a cylindrical member 30, and a recessed part 34 of the cap member 23 to a tongue 31 by forming the covering body 20 for covering a meter 10 by a pair of left-right dividing members 21 and 22, the cylindrical part 30 for surrounding a meter weighing part 15 in the upper part of this covering body 20, and the tongue 31 continuously or separately arranged in the cylindrical part 30.
