PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a drawer type CD housing case which allows fitting and removing of a CD without requiring a large space for the swaying of an upper case for its opening and closing, and which does not require a complex and costly press button device and has excellent reliability that assures a stable retention of the encased state of a plate-like body. SOLUTION: In the CD housing case A comprising: an inner case 2 that allows free placing and keeping of a CD1; and an outer case 3 that allows free inserting and removing of the inner case 2 by sliding, the inner case 2 comprises: a spring mechanism 6 that biases the inner case in a state of being inserted and housed in the outer case 3 so as for the inner case to be projected in the removing direction; a locking mechanism 4 that locks and maintains the inner case 2 in a state of being housed in counter to the biasing force by the spring mechanism 6; and a removing operation portion 13 that allows free releasing of the locking action exerted by the locking mechanism 4, while the locking mechanism 4 is so constituted as to be activated for locking action accompanying the inserting operation of the inner case 2 into the outer case 3.
