摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a lens grinding device measuring the thickness of a spectacle lens clamped part clamped between first and second clamping shafts. SOLUTION: This lens grinding device has a lens rotating shaft 23 for clamping the spectacle lens ML, and a lens rotating shaft 24 disposed in series on the same axis as the lens rotating shaft 23 and provided in an advancing/retreating manner to the lens rotating shaft 23 to clamp the spectacle lens Ml together with the lens rotating shaft 23. The lens grinding device further has: a pulse motor 213 for driving the lens rotating shaft 24 to advance/retreat relative to the lens rotating shaft 23; a pulse counting part 80a for detecting the advance/retreat amount of the lens rotating shaft 24 to the lens rotating shaft 23; a grinding wheel 35 for grinding the spectacle lens ML clamped by the lens rotating shafts 23, 24; and an arithmetic control circuit 80 for performing the driving control of the pulse motor 213. The arithmetic control circuit 80 finds the thickness of the spectacle lens clamped part ML by obtaining a space between the lens rotating shafts 23, 24 based on a moving quantity detection signal from the pulse counting part 80a.
