A biosensor and a biosensor measuring device by which a user can judge the performance easily. The biosensor (100) comprises a substrate (1) having a quality judging section (13), and a sample receiving section (15) being fed with a sample. The quality judging section (13) contains a moisture absorbing material which has changed its color by absorbing moisture. The sample receiving section (15) has a reagent section (7) containing an enzyme having a substance to be measured as a substrate. The quality judging section (13) comprises a recess (17) in the substrate (1), a moisture absorbing material (16) located in the recess (17), and a gas impermeable film (18) provided so as to be in tight contact with the moisture absorbing material (16) and to close the opening of the recess (17) substantially. Cobalt salt is employed as the moisture absorbing material (16).
