<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an array substrate, a method for manufacturing it and a liquid crystal display having the substrate that improves display quality and readily controls the cell gap. <P>SOLUTION: The array substrate includes a substrate equipped with a pixel area including a transparent window and a reflection region, a switching element formed in the pixel region, a pixel electrode formed on the transparent window and connected with the switching element, a reflecting substrate formed in the reflecting region, and a spacer formed in the pixel region and is characterized, by superimposing the reflecting region on the transparent window, corresponding to the position of the spacer. Consequently, the display quality is improved, and the cell gap can be controlled easily by reducing an angle region, taking into account the position of the spacer and removing a light leaking afterimage, while superimposing the boarder area of the transparent window on a part of an edge region of the pixel region. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI |
