<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a packet relay device capable of preventing a channel from being abruptly disconnected due to a request from a maintenance terminal to change a configuration, in a case where a plurality of packet relay devices are remotely maintained from the maintenance terminal. <P>SOLUTION: In a construction where a plurality of the packet relay devices 2 and a maintenance terminal 3 are connected via a LAN 1, when a request from a maintenance terminal 3 to change the configuration arrives at the relay device 2, and a processing section 7 determines that the request requires that an IP address of an interface 5a or path information employed for communication with the maintenance terminal 3 be changed, then a request can be made to the maintenance terminal 3 to reconfirm whether to continue processing. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI</p> |
