PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a master unit which reduces the noise radiated from transmission lines and will not make slave units malfunction. SOLUTION: A master clock 10, for feeding a slave clock 20 with a power voltage via a transmission line 3 and transferring time signals thereto, comprises a waveform shaper 13 for superposing the time signals on the power voltage, in a voltage level range higher than that of a power voltage for the control system of the slave clock. Since it sends time signals to the slave clock 20 in a voltage level range higher than that of the power voltage, the amplitude of the time signal can be reduced, to reduce the noise radiated from the transmission line 3, thus tending unlikely to exert adverse influence of the radiation noise on other apparatuses. Since the power source will not be turned off instantaneously, when the slave clock 20 receives information signals, stable operation of the slave clock 20 is can be expected so that rush current will not flow to the slave clock 20.
