PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To simplify a continuously variable transmission, reduce the size of the transmission, and reduce a cost of the transmission. SOLUTION: The continuously variable transmission comprises: a rotor supporting shaft 30 rotating integrally with an input shaft and extending to form a predetermined angle with respect to an axial direction of the input shaft 20; a traction rotor 40 supported to be rotatable and reciprocatable with respect to the rotor supporting shaft 30 and having a first conical surface 41 and a second conical surface 42; a sun ring 70 rotating integrally with an output shaft 50, reciprocatable in the axial direction of the output shaft 50, and has an annular contact face 72 in contact with the first conical surface; a coil spring 80 urging the sun ring 70; a fixed ring 90 having an annular contact face 91 brought into rolling-contact with the second conical surface 42, and fixed not to be rotatable; a coil spring 100 urging the fixed ring 90; and a driving mechanism 110 moving the traction rotor 40 along the rotor supporting shaft 30.
