A liquid spraying pistol is described, in particular for gardening, comprising an external casing ( 2 ) passed through by a channel ( 5 ) within which a valve ( 7 ) is slidingly housed which is biased by a spring ( 16 ) and is operable by a start lever ( 4 ) which is turnable between a closing position and a maximum opening position of said valve ( 7 ) and a device for the locking/unlocking of said lever ( 4 ) in maximum opening position. Said device is made up of a button ( 9 ) elastically supported by said lever ( 4 ) in such a way as to be able to provide, with the lever ( 4 ) in maximum opening position, a locking engagement between said lever ( 4 ) and the external casing ( 2 ).
