<p>The invention relates to a container (1), in particular a plastic container, preferably in the form of a pail. Said pail comprises a lid (2) for sealing the container, which has a receiving area (4), in which the edge (3) of the container that delimits the container opening engages and is held in the sealed position. The invention is characterised in that counteracting detent elements (10-14) and sealing surfaces (16-19) are provided in the receiving area of the lid and on the edge of the container opening. Said detent elements are configured in such a way that when the container is sealed, the sealing surfaces are securely pressed against each other, forming a seal that can only be released by destroying the lid.</p> |
