<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To discriminate accurately a destabilizing factor of light emitting output of a laser element in an inspection method of optical pickup, a program, and an optical disk apparatus. <P>SOLUTION: The method in which an optical pickup inspecting apparatus inspects an optical pickup having a light receiving element for observing a laser element and light emitting output of the laser element, comprises a process in which a first amplitude value of a monitor signal when close loop control is performed to obtain the light emitting output of the prescribed target value and a second amplitude value of the monitor signal when open loop control is performed to obtain the light emitting output of the target value are detected based on the monitor signal generated when light emitting output is observed in the light emitting element, and a process in which it is discriminated that the light emitting output is instable based on the light emitting element when the difference between the first amplitude value and the second amplitude value exceeds the prescribed reference. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI |
