<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce layout spaces occupied in the lateral direction of two thin-film transistors connected in series in an active matrix panel in a liquid crystal display. <P>SOLUTION: Each of electrodes 15 and 16 for the two thin-film transistors 4 and 5 connected in series is formed of a gate electrode on one side of an approximately L-shaped gate electrode and the gate electrode on the other side. Accordingly, the layout spaces occupied in the lateral direction of the two thin-film transistors 4 and 5 can be made smaller than the two thin-film transistors 4 and 5 are formed in a series connection singly in the lateral direction. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI</p> |
