PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a display apparatus wherein the number of inspection pads is drastically reduced. SOLUTION: On a substrate of the display apparatus, gate signal lines extended in a first direction and arranged in parallel in a second direction intersecting the first direction, and drain signal lines extended in a second direction and arranged in parallel in the second direction are formed. A pixel area surrounded with these signal lines is provided with at least a switching element which is turned on by the signal from the gate signal line and an electrode to drive the pixel by the signal from the drain signal line through the switching element. One end of each gate signal line is provided with a scanning signal driving circuit which sequentially performs scanning and supplies signals to these gate signal lines. On one end of the drain signal line, an inspection pad for inspecting, at the timing of supply of signal to the gate signal line, electric current flowing to the drain signal is formed.
