PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide radio tag communication equipment which realizes the communication of high sensitivity independently of a relative position relation to a radio tag. SOLUTION: Since a reception antenna 38 has a plurality of antenna elements 40 for reception which are arranged so as to be able to receive reflected waves F<SB>rf</SB>having different planes of polarization, the reception antenna 38 has an advantage of being capable of miniaturizing a device because not only communication of high sensitivity is possible independently of relative angles of planes of polarization of reflected waves F<SB>rf</SB>from a radio tag 14 but also it is necessary to arrange only the relatively smaller number of antenna elements 40 for reception. That is, the radio tag communication equipment 12 which realizes communication of high sensitivity independently of a relative position relation to the radio tag 14 is provided.
