PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a shutter device for a camera which attains a high-speed driving and has high controllability. SOLUTION: An imaging module 20 is constituted of a shutter unit 21 and an imaging unit 22. The shutter unit 21 is constituted of a focal plane shutter having a front curtain 25a and a rear curtain 25b equipped with electrets. Stators 29a and 29b provided with driving electrodes 28a and 28b and aperture parts 27a and 27b are disposed on the opposed surface sides of the respective electrets. Then, a protection member 32 having an aperture part 31 is fixed to cover over the front of the shutter unit 21. The width of a final pulse out of consecutive pulse signals supplied at a position where the front curtain 25a is totally opened or a position where the rear curtain 25b is totally closed is set to be longer than the width of the pulses before it.
