PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce vibrations and noise of a transmission caused by variation in engine rotation while preventing deterioration of operability by minimizing the inertia moment of a flywheel. SOLUTION: The engine control device is equipped with an ignition timing correction means S3 for correcting ignition timing of an engine; a suction air amount correction means S4 for correcting the suction air amount; operating condition detecting means 1-4 for detecting operating condition; and a torque fluctuation reducing means for correcting the ignition timing to the lag side by the ignition timing correction means S3 so as to reduce variation in engine rotation in accordance with the operating condition, and for correcting the suction air amount to the amount increasing side by the suction air amount correction means S4 so as to compensate the engine output reduced by the lag of the ignition timing.
