PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent such a crime from occurring that a key installed at the door of a housing is unlocked by picking and stop a picking operation so that the key is not unlocked by a rotating operation with a tool for picking inserted in a key hole. SOLUTION: This picking prevention device is formed so that a projection is formed on the face of a key body 1 in which a key hole 3 for inserting a key 2 therein in a direction opposite to the direction of key insertion in the key hole on a circumference larger than the width of the key hole or a part with a projection is combined for separately stuck to obstruct picking operation so as to stop unlocking. Thus, even if the picking tool is used, the tool is made difficult to operate by the obstruction of the projection. Also, the picking prevention device can be stuck on not only new keys but also existing key. Since it takes much time to pick the key, a crime prevention effect can be provided.
