PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a wire take-up method and take-up device whereby a take-up width is adjusted while taking up, and a wire material is aligned and wound around a spool. SOLUTION: In this take-up device for taking up the wire material 3 around the spool 1, a speed for delivering the wire material is adjusted to be almost constant, a rotating speed of the spool is detected, and the winding width D of the spool axial shaft direction for moving the wire material wound around the spool is adjusted in accordance with the detected rotating speed of the spool.
