PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent riding quality from becoming worse due to mechanical multilateral movement of a footstep chain even when miniaturizing a truss and achieving high operation speed. SOLUTION: This passenger conveyor is provided with a displacement limiting means composed of a stopper 21 for regulating displacement of a following device 9 supporting a following wheel 7 as a chain guide means provided in a folding-back part on the opposite side to a driving wheel so as to displace in the direction in which the following wheel 7 is separated from and approaches the driving wheel to predetermined amount.
