PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a vehicle body structure capable of effectively suppressing the displacement of a pillar inward of a cabin during the side impact while reducing the weight of a vehicle body. SOLUTION: A discontinuous strength part 20 is formed in a middle portion of a curved pillar 7 with a side roof rail 4 and a side sill 5 vertically connected to each other. Corner joint parts 21 and 22 having high rigidity curved inward of the vehicle width direction are provided on upper and lower ends of the curved pillar 7. Load transmission path forming means 23 and 24 are formed in the corner joint parts 21 and 22. When the lateral load is input in the curved pillar 7, ridge-shaped or strip-shaped deformation parts K1 and K2 are formed in a roof panel 2 and a floor panel 3 to transmit the load with the load transmission path forming means 23 and 24 as starting points.
