PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a press molding machine capable of reducing the rising/falling stroke of a mold even in a constitution that a sheet material is placed on a lower mold by a feed means like a belt conveyor and capable of efficiently treating a product or scrap after press molding. SOLUTION: The press molding machine is equipped with a lower mold on which a fed sheet material made of a resin is placed and the upper mold bitten with the lower mold to perform mold clamping and constituted so as to press-mold the sheet material into a predetermined product by the mold clamping of the lower mold and the upper mold. The lower mold is fixed on a slider and the slider is installed on a slider rail in a slide-movable manner. In the mold opening state of the lower mold and the upper mold, the lower mold can be reciprocated between a position where the sheet material is placed and the lower position of the upper mold at the time of mold clamping by moving the slider on the slider rail.
