PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for manufacturing a curable composition which excels in the external appearance of the obtained coating film such as smoothness, brilliancy, and transparency, the physical strength such as hardness, impact resistance, flex resistance, and scratch resistance, the chemical properties such as solvent resistance, acid rain resistance, and the weatherability, and furthermore can be suitably used in various applications as a powder coating material having good storage stability and a water dispersion slurry coating material, particularly for the clear topcoat of automobiles. SOLUTION: The curable composition is manufactured by using a polymer having an average of two or more epoxy groups in the molecule and a hexanetricarboxylic acid, particularly 1,3,6-hexanetricarboxylic acid as a curing agent and performing pulverization after sufficiently cooling in producing the curable composition.
