摘要 The invention relates to food safety or the use of perishable products. It enables the consumer to know if the product, drink or foodstuff can spoil or perish when exposed to the air or contained in an already open container, whether it can still be consumed or can be used without presenting any risk. The invention especially relates to an indicator (1) which is attached to a container (11) (12) (19) and displays (10) the time expired and the time remaining on a temporal expiry scale (8), along with another non-visible duration, that of the spoilage of the contained product from the moment it is exposed (9) (19) to the air (7) and according to the thermal conditions. Due to the fact that the technology for implementing one such indicator is preferably chemical (oxidation-reduction, enzyme engineering...), the induction agent (7) from which the reactive constituents (5) are isolated (2) (3) (4) (6) (16) (19) and then brought into contact with during the opening of the container (9) (12), or by opening the same, is the oxygen contained in the atmospheric air. The action thereof depends on a factor, i.e. the ambient temperature, the development of the coloured reaction (10) relating to an expiry index of the product and corresponding to the expiry scale (8). Said indicator also indicates an excessive sale period by the migration of the oxygen atoms (7), over a given amount of time, through the porous wall (6) isolating the oxidisable reagent (5). The invention can be applied to various sectors, for example, food, medical, cosmetic or pharmaceutical, and all products of which the consumption or use is time-limited for safety reasons.
