The filter glass carrier (3) with a filter glass (31) for a viewfinder (1), and especially an eyepiece for a weapon, is a slide (4) with longitudinal recesses (24) at the base and with a locking mechanism (5-10). The locking system has projecting sprung balls which fit into passage openings (14,15) at opposite sides (18,19) of the slide.
