Method for generating at least a data record that represents at least a section (A) of a toll road (S) that represents the access to a virtual toll point (M) on the toll road. The section is represented by a data record that models the toll point as a geographical position and a driving direction. To minimize the number or data records, a virtual toll point can be represented by a single data record, especially if there are no other toll roads within a tolerance range (T) of the toll point. The invention also relates to a corresponding computer program for implementing the inventive method.
