Aqueous preparations based on organopolysiloxane-polyammonium block copolymers. Aqueous preparations (I) containing (1) 5-80 wt% linear or branched organopolysiloxane-polyammonium block copolymer (B) comprising 1-20 repeating organopolysiloxane blocks of formula (S) and 1-20 repeating polyammonium blocks of formula (Q), (2) 0-30 wt% emulsifier, (3) 0-25 wt% hydrotropic additive and (4) 20-95 wt% water. (B) shows a total nitogen content of 2.0-7.0 wt% and any tert. nitrogen atoms which may be present may be protonated.
