RUBBER COMPOSITION FOR PNEUMATIC TIRE

A rubber composition for tires which comprises 100 parts by weight of a diene rubber and 5 to 120 parts by weight of carbon black having a particle diameter of 15 to 40 nm, a specific surface area as determined through nitrogen adsorption, N2SA, of 60 to 200 m<2>/g, and a pH of either 1 to 5 or 8.5 to 13. The rubber composition can give a tire improved in wet performance without causing a problem concerning productivity or conductivity.
