<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an air bag device for side collision of automobile capable of ensuring sufficient mounting strength to a vehicle body upon inflation of an air bag even by a clip means. <P>SOLUTION: Since the clip means 16 has disengageable engagement force relative to an engagement opening 9 of a side roof rail 1 in the usual state, mounting work of an air bag module 4 to the vehicle body and removal work at maintenance are easy. Further, since tensile force F for downwardly pulling the air bag 5 is transmitted to the clip means 16 in deployment, engagement width D of the clip means 16 is enlarged and engagement force to the engagement opening 9 is increased, sufficient mounting strength to the vehicle body upon inflation of the air bag 5 can be ensured. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI</p> |
