PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide safe and effective boiler corrosion/pitting corrosion preventive agent and corrosion/pitting corrosion preventive method which prevent not only the corrosion/pitting corrosion of ferrous metal in contact with water of the condensation part in a high-temperature and high-pressure state in various kinds of boilers but also the corrosion/pitting corrosion of ferrous metal in contact with water of low condensation part in a low-temperature state, for example, water at a bottom part of a compact once-through boiler and water heated by an economizer. SOLUTION: In the boiler corrosion/pitting corrosion prevention method, the corrosion/pitting corrosion of ferrous metal in a boiler is prevented by adding, to boiler feed water, tartaric acid or a salt thereof of a concentration of 10 to 50 mg/liter, citric acid or a salt thereof of a concentration of 10 to 50 mg/liter, and alkaline agent capable of adjusting the pH value of boiler feed water to 8 to 12.
